Motivating Change: Lessons from PAIP

February 9
10:00 am - 12:00 pm

How can we motivate attitude and behavior change in people who have caused harm? Learn about the Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP), an intervention that works with individuals who have perpetrated intimate partner violence (IPV). Identify common myths and facts about individuals who perpetrate violence and how those myths hinder work to end violence in our communities. Deep-dive into the tools that we use in PAIP to facilitate change and accountability so that individuals can begin to identify harmful, learned behaviors and make safer, healthier choices in the future.

The Sarah’s Inn Winter Training Series is a four-part, virtual training series for persons who are interested in learning more about domestic violence and the various services for survivors, their children, and individuals who have perpetrated violence. This series will be particularly relevant to social service and other professionals who may encounter domestic violence (DV) in their work and are seeking to better understand the dynamics of DV and the options available. Participants can register for individual sessions or for all four for a discounted rate. CEUs will be provided.
