20-Hour Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) Facilitator Training
The Crisis Center for South Suburbia offers the 20-Hour Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) Facilitator Training four times each year—our next training is August 12th-14th from 9am-5pm.
This training is required for individuals who facilitate PAIP groups and is also ideal for professionals who work with families or individuals experiencing crisis. Training topics include an overview of PAIP, a review of the Illinois Protocol for PAIPs, an introduction to PAIP curricula (including mindfulness practices and the Duluth Model), and best practices for effective group facilitation. Participants will engage in a variety of instructional methods, including presentations, audiovisual materials, group discussions, and role-playing exercises.
The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is an Illinois Department of Human Services Protocol-Approved site, and this training is certified by ICDVP, Inc. Successful completion of the training qualifies participants to sit for the Certified Partner Abuse Intervention Professional (CPAIP) examination.
Participants are also eligible to receive 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for LSW, LCPC, and LCSW licensure, as approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
The training is held at the Crisis Center for South Suburbia’s administrative office. Attendance for the full three-day training is required to receive a certificate of completion and CEUs.
