At ICDVP, we realize that to fulfill our mission we need to include individuals who possess a broad range of perspectives, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, varying skill sets, differing areas of expertise, and personal experiences to help us make a significant impact on certification in the field of domestic violence. The Board seeks individuals who are working as direct service staff, volunteers, managers, or directors.
The ICDVP Board of Directors includes ten Certified Domestic Violence Professionals (CDVP) from the Northern and Southern regions of Illinois, three Certified Partner Abuse Intervention Professionals (CPAIP), and three At Large Members. The dividing line between the Northern and Southern regions is Interstate 80. At Large Members shall represent professions from other disciplines such as but not limited to legal, medical, social work, or criminal justice. These three professionals need not be CDVP or CPAIP, but they must have some experience advocating for or working with domestic violence victims/survivors or working with people who cause harm.
We have an exciting opportunity and are actively recruiting members to join our Board who possess these attributes and experiences. If you know of a qualified applicant who you think might be interested in being considered for a Board that is rewarding, impactful and personally gratifying, have them reach out to ICDVP at ilcdvp@ilcdvp.org for more details. ICDVP does not retain past applications, so if you have applied in the past, you will be asked to submit the information again.
To ensure sufficient time for candidate review, please reach out to ICDVP by April 1, 2026.
