Notice for ICDVP Certified Professionals
IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of 03/01/26, ICDVP will no longer allow the following trainings to be submitted for CDVP/CPAIP renewal applications. These mandated trainings are foundational trainings and not continuing education. The trainings include the following:
- Department of Justice annual Civil Rights Training or agency adaptation
- Illinois required annual Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
- Illinois Department on Aging APSIL – Adult Protective Services Training or agency adaptation
- Illinois DCFS ANCRA Mandated Reporter Training or agency adaptation
ICDVP encourages certified professionals to seek out additional trainings that build upon and expand these topics related to domestic violence work for CEU consideration.
As a reminder, CEU content must be related to the 40-hour Domestic Violence training content, or 20-hour PAIP training content listed in the ICDVP Manual. ICDVP certified CEU training sites must ensure that this standard is met.
It is the responsibility of the certified professional to check the ICDVP website to ensure that sites are approved to award ICDVP CEUs. If a site is not listed, they are not an approved CEU training site. If a site is not approved to provide ICDVP CEUs, the training certificate may be submitted with a petition (ICDVP Form 6) and $10 fee.
