ICDVP has updated the standards for the CPAIP exam to align more with the CDVP exam standards. Please be aware that these changes will not apply to individuals applying for the February 2025 exam. These take effect for applicants beginning with the September 2025 exam.
Beginning with the September 2025 exam, in order to be eligible to take the CPAIP exam, the PAIP training must meet the following requirements:
- The PAIP training must be completed at an ICDVP certified 20-hour PAIP training site after 2011. This year was when standards for the training were approved by ICDVP. Any 20-hour PAIP training prior to 2011 will not qualify for certification.
- The PAIP training must be completed at an ICDVP certified 20-hour PAIP training site. Previously, ICDVP allowed individuals to utilize the training at Duluth, Raven, or Emerge as comparable 20-hour trainings. However, these three curriculum trainings do not cover all the topics required within the 20-hour PAIP training so will no longer be recognized as meeting the PAIP training requirement.
