SUMMARY:ANEW Domestic Violence 20-Hour Online Modules/20-Hour In-Person Training
DESCRIPTION:This hybrid training allows participants to gain a deeper understanding of domestic violence and how to support those impacted by it. Participants will complete 20 hours of the training through the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s online modules on their own. The remaining 20 hours will be completed in-person at Anew’s training site. Participants will need to pay a registration fee to both the Coalition and Anew. DESCRIPTION:The Domestic Violence 40-hour training provides participants with the movement’s philosophical and political framework and a solid foundation for supporting folks who experience violence. In order for confidential communication to be protected\, the Illinois Domestic Violence Act (IDVA) requires that individuals working directly with survivors have a minimum of 40 hours of domestic violence training. Our training fulfills this requirement.
