SUMMARY:Betrayal Trauma and Domestic Violence Intervention Pt 2 Victimization
DESCRIPTION:Studies show that survivors of betrayal trauma need an approach in support services that focuses on establishing new healthy relationships. Helping them explore various ways that the impact of betrayal trauma manifests itself and acts as a barrier to forming healthy intimate relationships is of clinical significance during the initial stages of recovery. \nThis three-hour workshop will explore how to broach the subject matter of betrayal trauma with survivors and the impact of short- and long-term victimization in intimate relationships. It will also highlight best evidenced-based practices and ethical considerations.
