SUMMARY:Domestic Violence 101
DESCRIPTION:What is domestic violence\, and how can we support survivors? In this introductory training\, we will identify the dynamics of domestic violence using the Power and Control Wheel and Cycle of Violence\, debunk common myths\, and learn ways to support survivors. We will also review the Illinois Domestic Violence Act (IDVA) and legal options for survivors. \nThe Sarah’s Inn Winter Training Series is a four-part\, virtual training series for persons who are interested in learning more about domestic violence and the various services for survivors\, their children\, and individuals who have perpetrated violence. This series will be particularly relevant to social service and other professionals who may encounter domestic violence (DV) in their work and are seeking to better understand the dynamics of DV and the options available. Participants can register for individual sessions or for all four for a discounted rate. \nsXNCeOMn24YN-Winter-Training-Session-2024-Square
